3:30pm – 5:30pm

Palanza Dance is seeking 2-3 dancers with strong modern technique and a clear connection and love for performing. Experience with contact and improvisation dance is a plus. Palanza Dance is working toward a full length work, Seeing Hans, an exploration of Hans Christian Andersen’s complex story characters. Palanza seeks to research the qualities of these fictional characters and how certain parts of their stories reflect our own. Using large props, film, and musical collaboration, Palanza intends on creating fantastic and surreal narration to be performed in spring/summer 2012. Dancers will be given a stipend and will perform the work in progress through various venues in the Bay Area. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 11:30am-1pm at ODC.
